What is Beaver Plaid?

Beaver Plaid is our personal service offering for individuals or businesses making larger bitcoin purchases. The offering includes a one-on-one consult via video call to determine the best payment method for you, based on your specific needs.

How does Beaver Plaid work?

After our video call we will provide you with payment details for transferring funds to Beaver via bill payment or wire transfer. Once received, your funds are exchanged to bitcoin and delivered to your personal Bitcoin wallet address.

What is the OTC offering?

Our optional OTC (over the counter) offering gives you the ability to make large bitcoin purchases without slippage through deep institutional liquidity. It also includes the ability for you to:

Receive an indicative price quote from us before transferring CAD funds
Receive real-time price quotes once we have your funds and execute your order on demand

It’s optional since the benefits are realized more for bitcoin purchases above $100K. Below this amount there is little concern for slippage so the quotes are not necessary.

Can I purchase bitcoin for my business?

Yes. Please let us know you’d if you’d like to purchase bitcoin for your business and we will provide a tailored onboarding that includes a short KYB (know your business) verification.

Do I need to sign up for Beaver?

Yes, you will need to sign up for a Beaver account and complete the account onboarding steps prior to making a large bitcoin purchase. Though you are not required to sign up prior to our video call it can be helpful to do so and complete your account verification.

Should I use bill payment or wire transfer?

Bill payment is a very convenient method for transferring funds from your banking app within the comfort of your own home with a settlement timing of 2-3 business days. Not every bank currently supports bill payment however.

Wire transfer is the tried and true method for quickly transferring large amounts of funds with same-day settlement possible if the wire is sent in the morning. Wire transfers require you to visit your bank branch in person and incur an additional $50 fee for the manual handling required on our end.
